Abstract

One of the strategic actions in projects that have as an objective the overcoming of the social exclusion of people is job promotion. Mondragon Corporation transforms the surroundings in which it develops its economic activity and presents a non-capitalist choice to the competitive economy. In this paper will be analysed the compendium of social improvements that the economic model of the Mondragon group has generated in the area (and not only for its members or workers) and offers possibilities to implant this model on another places. This paper presents the transferability of the model of the Mondragon cooperatives to a concrete territory that is at a socioeconomic disadvantage; this model gives a successful response that other modalities of intervention in these areas do not provide
