Abstract

The article develops the hypothesis according to which the reproduction of the urban space, in the modern world, deepens the contradiction between the social production process of space and its private appropriation (marked by the private appropriation of the general richness of society that has as a one of your forms the property of the city places). The reproduction of the space mediated by the private property of richness, source of inequality, reveals itself as social and spatial segregation as the denial of the city where the use forms are delimited by the access modes of citizens to places of realization of life. The development of this contradiction creates the city as source of perceived deprivation, on the quotidian life plan, as estrangements, performing itself practically as fight by the space, in the public spaces reestablishing its sense of the public sphere.
