Abstract

Currently as spaces emerges as a strategic issue the scale assumes a new meaning. This becomes evident through inter scalar articulations amongst the State and several economic and political actors, which are required to ensure the general conditions of social reproduction for these actors and to provide legitimacy to their actions. Thus it is important to understand the strategic character that the action of the State articulated with these actors assumes with inter scalar pacts surpassing frontiers and breaking hierarchies. Hence we intend to make some reflections to support further studies to understand the interaction State-large economic actors and their role in the recent territorial organization of the Brazilian social space.
