Abstract

The agricultural areas in the Western world are currently defined by its complexity. Dynamics of the momentum of agricultural modernization in increasingly competitive and globalized markets coexist with others related with the revaluation of the agricultural landscapes and rural heritage. The article discusses these relations in the winegrowing of Castilla - La Mancha, first region in extension of vineyard in Spain, where the gradual adaptation of the market provisions is deeply changing landscapes and forms of winegrowing. In addition, these changes are affecting an agricultural heritage which is worthy to be considered cultural landscape.
