Abstract

This text comments aspects of the life of the eminent Brazilian geographer Manoel Correa de Andrade, as his path like the professor and researcher in Brazilian Universities, the prize-givings that received and some of his books, as the Land and the Man in the Northeast, considered one of the most important one of the century XX.  Beyond that, presents the articles that integrate that meeting of texts, that are about the main book of the professor Correa de Andrade, his approach of inquiry, the Economic Geography and the situation in the Brazilian field.
