Abstract

Neoliberal economic policies carried out in Argentina during 90’s and later economic recuperation has influenced Buenos Aires metropolisation process, linked to globalisation. As a result, urban development is fragmented and defined since three urban production logics: private capitalist, popular and estate public. Pilar district, in Buenos Aires Periurban, displays this urban disarticulation since those three logics interaction, with private clear preponderance, stressing urban space dispute, meanwhile strengthening urban popular sector exclusion and renewing territorial fragmentation and sotio-spatial segregation processes.
