Urban planning and social equipment in small cities in Rio Grande do Norte.

Abstract

Analyze the healthy, education and leisure equipments planning in the RN small cities, centered in the research “Planning, Management of Territory and socioespacial development in the Rio Grande do Norte-RN small cities”. The research investigated the working logical of the small cities, considering both planning actions and territorial’s management, being oriented by the question: how the healthy, education and leisure equipments planning in the RN small cities? The quantitative and qualitative analyze supported the bibliographic and documental research. The work has shown to us that RN small cities shows a precarious economic frame, with meager financial resources, which are originated, basically, from “Municipal Participate Found” (FPM), getting the urban planning and policies submitted to parliamentary amendment, which not always are destined to real needs of the population, committing, thus, an social reproduction in democratic and citizen bases.
