Abstract

International migration was one of the social, political and economic phenomenom that arose special interest during the latest decades of the twentieth century. Certainly it will receive more attention in next decades. Discussions about extracomunity migrations began to be deepen when Spain turned to be a Union European member (1986). In this context Spain gained the rol of the south frontier of the pretended "European fortress". Within this framework, the purpose of this paper is to analyze how chains and social networks influence in spatials trajectories and migrations strategies of the equatorian colective inmigrants. In the early nineties they arrived to the Province of Murcia in order to work in agriculture activities. We are also interested in analysing the links between globalization and this international migration process.
