Borders, spaces for innovation and social change: some appreciations since the experience of Venezuela

Abstract

This communication has as central objective, to emphasize the importance of the frontiers in the current global context of social changes, spatial and territorial. Departing of the Venezuelan experience, is intended to make a geographical relationship, economic and human of its frontiers, their characterization as useful integration spaces, with high potential for the innovation. Special attention is given to the relationships to Colombia, to the Andean Nations Community and its proposals for the development of these spaces.
