Innovation and rural change, the tourism in a local and sustainable development

Abstract

Facing the changing evolution of the sectorial and global economy, producers resort to diverse adaptive strategies that imply a new social, productive and space transformation, as a result of a previous economic model. Processes that transform the rural space, new concepts, promotion of adaptive strategies for restructuring, rescue of traditional rural values, etc, are presented. The group of activities developed by local agents is a strategy to diversify incomes, without meaning it is a real local development, wich is the is the proposal. Rural space looks for is innovation and that is important. Besides, tourism is one of these axes that expresses the changes of the sector and that promotes the development towards sustainability.
