Landscape and innovation: the touristic project on environmental protect area of Curiaú, Amapá, Brazil

Abstract

The paper makes a critical analyze about to reflex of the installation of an ecotouristic project, the social and natural changes to bring for this activity, on a protect area historically occupied by black people descendants of old slaves and maroon societies, in Amapá, Brazilian Amazon. The work explains the landscape conccept as production of the culture of determinate social group, whose visual qualities has been re-valorized by the occidental culture translated on activities of touristic ecology or eco-touristic, which change it in merchandise, provoking the rupture of this links between the local society and the environment. These relationship to established since the inmemorial times were the big responsible by the characteristics landscape in question.
