General interest, social agreements and local development

Abstract

This paper approaches, first, the main characteristics of the communitary initiative, known as his name: Pactos Territoriales por la Ocupación (Territorial Agreements for the Employment). After, we pay attention with more detail to one of these agreements developed in the region of Vallès Occidental (Barcelona), in an approach to its results in quantitative terms. The second part of the paper tries behavioral to the social agents implicate in this agreement and of his relationship to some of the recent transformations that have had place in the productive structure and in the basis of the Trade Unions.
