New urban strategies and progressive come-back of agriculture in Dakar's rural zone

Abstract

The current urban growth of Dakar (Senegal) has influenced the structural modifications of the suburbs and intermediary cities, in which reference points and traditional activities have been devalued, and relatively transformed old logistics relating to land management. This report identifies and analyses urban growth, the consequences of the decentralization and new territorialities which are currently in progress in Dakar's rural zone.
