The paper of the Migrant Nets in the migrations to short and mean distance

Abstract

In this communication we intend to reflect on the presence and importance that play the migrant nets in the internal emigration processes, and to contribute to the methodological analysis that permits us to measure some form their paper and their weigh in the establishment of the migrant currents. The migrant nets are a key factor in the selection and decision of migrating and influencing in the migrant flows and in the direction of the currents, fixing the origins and fate of the migratorys. It is therefore, that with their study, we pursue the objective last of contributing to the methodological and theoretical framework that permits us to understand the internal operation of the migrant phenomena. For said study, we have selected the important migrant currents that were established around the end of century XIX with fate to the Ría de Bilbao. This communication intends be a methodological proposal for the study and quantification of the migrant chains, at least established them by familiar, using for this the nominative follow-ups.
