Abstract

This work studies the determinants of location for the active religious brotherhoods in the Diocese of Lisbon (Portugal) and in the Diocese of Lima (Peru). This work concludes that the population heterogeneity and the local tradition are statistically significant determinants for both the cases. However this work recognizes that the histórica and social heterogeneity of each space is also important for studying the activity of religious brotherhoods.
