Foreign immigrants in a little city. Adaptation and integration in El Vendrell

Abstract

This paper explains the evolution of foreign immigration in a little city that it called El Vendrell (Tarragona). The description is based in the municipal census of 1991 and 2001. They let to study the evolution about this type of immigration in the last 10 years and the distribution of foreigners immigrants in the municipality. It wants to reflect the problematic of the adaptation and integration process of these persons that they come from countries with culture and customs very differents. I use the inquiry method for to know the immigrants opinion about the housing, the work, the children education and the health service.
