Abstract

In this article I assume the account of Jesus and Moses, characters from foundation myths oh Western society, to expose a varied and extensive set of practices named “circulação de crianças” in the Amazon, treating more specifically (but not only) of Pará. This cast of apparently informal practices has been builded and directioned by a plethora of consensual rules updated in every ritual of delivery receipt of each child by/to the hands of many women who, historically among us, helps continuing this movement, the repetition of exchanging children among so many homes. Also showing based on my search records, on the one hand, the extent of such practices among different social layers (in the case, in urban centers) and in the other hand, the prejudices so often present in them, disguised in one false interest on children willness.
