Abstract

This paper analyses the work of artisanal fishermen in the Stuary of Patos Lagoon in the city of Rio Grande/RS/Brasil. This approach considers that the simple reproduction of artisanal fishing constitutes one of the moments of amplified reproductin of the capital in the fishing sector. The maintenance of the artisanal fishing is obtained from the reproduction of the families whose members perform a multiplicity of activities related to it. The basic line of reflexion deal with the production of capital in a place of the modern capitalist society based on the production of non capitalist relations of production.
