Labour condition transformation in Gran Bilbao industrial area (1958-1977). Historical vision of the "desarrollismo"

Abstract

From end of the Spain Fifties it undertakes one of the more important processes of economic and social transformation of its history. Its development will serve to show the tremendous difficulties that a change of these characteristics under the impulse of a dictatorial regime implied, absolutely in opposition to any opening of political type. In some zones concrete, as in the industrial area of the Great Bilbao the changes if it fits, much more were accused and in her some of the phenomena most characteristic of the Spanish development unfolded (industrial growth, massive arrival of immigrants, rearrangement of the city-planning and social space) and a deep change within the world of the work that affected all its facets, as much technical, as human.
