Abstract

The increase of the power of the commercial sector, facing the industrial oligopolies, the submissive insertion of the Brazilian economy in the international scene (abandonment of the industrial politics of national development), and the totalitarian paradigm of the fetching for the competitiveness tax for the neo-liberalism ("globalization") are in the basis of the modernizing reorganization, that happened in the Brazilian retailing, and that, in turn, influenced not only in the brutal acceleration of the taxes of unemployment as well as in the effective location of the workers of the great chain stores (Total Quality, 5 S, etc.).
