Abstract

During the 18th Century was produced the institunalization of the Spanish Army. Facing the need of creating an infrastructure to serve the militia, it was considered the need to stablish headquarters for the soldiery, which function could be his control and, also, to given they a house. This fact is transcendent, because the military personnel increased to the 100.000 people. The construction and adaptation of buildings as headdquarters was an alternative ti resolve the problem of housing in the cities and towns of the XVIIIth Century Spain.
