Abstract

A group of apartment houses projects were developed in a city that suffered a violent urbanization, indirectly reflecting the city changes. The real estate buildings projects which are observed in this article, were taken from the personal files of one of the most productive architect during that time: Carlos Obregón Santacilia. It is possible in his projects to survey different interior distributions, symptoms of the time’s effort to develop a vertical housing tipology. The interpretation of the projects are completed with a diagonal examination of some other single houses by the same architect.
