The modest house and cultural patrimony: The corrals and patios of vicinity in the historico set of Seville

Abstract

The social and cultural plane of the cities is often based on the distribution of the modest classes but in the urban framework and the way of life that on have created. The logica of the real estate market has been encouraging, specially for half century, an appropriation of the historicos spaces by functions and individuals that move the collective ultimos of traditional populations. The appropriation of the centralidad, but also of the simbolos and the urban spaces of representation, this giving an upset to the social composition of many historicos centers. In Seville, city in which the corrals and other buildings of modest house around patio have supposed during good part of the contemporanea stage the place in which the proletarian classes vivian, observes a process of displacement of these classes that already is in the ultimos states and that are not mitigated by documents of patrimonial protection.
