The parcel of the land and the formation of poverty space in Natal-RN

Abstract

The process of space segregation has been realized, in the Brazilian cities, through the social exclusion related with the formation of the habitational space, or better, through the segregation of social classes in the city. A poor population is located in suburban areas, distant of the central and badly attended areas of public services; this article intends to analyze the formation of these spaces in the North Area of the Natal city, more specifically, the parcel of lands and the occupation of these in the last twenty years, verifying the resulting social wear.
