Abstract

There isa consensus among those that are dedicate to think the Education: the Traditional Teaching is not appropriateto our contemporary society. However, its inadequacy does not mean, necessarily, that it doesn't take advantage of that. The attempt of overcoming of the traditional was undertaken for more than a form of thought, that it searched, through the negation of the previous one, to legitimize itself. However, these attempts showed so much gaps how many left them for the Traditional Teaching. This scenery is present in the Education, in general, and in the specific disciplines, in particular. Starting from the development of Geography in Brazil in century XX, we can have an example of this process. In this context, we make a speech about the possibility of a geographic education lead by the Complexity Pedagogy and Environmental Pedagogy, necessary to think to complexity and de environment in the contemporary society, from a reflection about teaching of Geography, compost by a triad of theoretical-methodological orientations, in direction a large, responsible, humanist and ethical education.
