Abstract

Life quality even if it is a reality cannot actually be measured, as it comes from a changeable perception depending on different circumstances. It has certainly got some exact and quantifiable components, but it is perceived not only in its own reality but also comparing it to other opportunities in the life on this earth or even in afterlife, opportunities which may male our existence more or less valuable, more or less acceptable. This comparison is also an important mainspring when we are working in order to modify our life quality or simply to defend it or also when we consider it unimportant for the true values of life. We should dedicate new efforts to better understand what life quality and style are composed of, where they come from, how they can improve or get worse. Understanding the variety of the culture in the world has always been important, but today it is essential because of the deeper intersection of those cultures, and therefore for the unavoidable comparisons that this suggests. The multiculturalism itself can be afforded only through a better knowledge of the cultural characteristics of the different groups, that are compelled to live together. Carrying on the research of Cultural Geography may therefore represent a very important contribution for our future.
