Abstract

Treats about the installation of Dry Zones – interdictate areas of consumption, commerce and production of spirits- in different regions of Chile during the decades from 1910 from 1930. As a strategy of repression of the inmoderate alcohol consumption, this political of space intervention on the part of the State faced this one to different pressures, as much from the trench of the organized social movements it jeopardize with the fight against the alcoholism, as from that represented by the interests of the producing industries of spirits.
