Abstract

Foreign population living in Malaga has experimented an important growth in the last years, rising it’s percentage over total population to an 8,27%. On the other hand, spatial distribution of foreigners is not homogeneous, as they tend to concentrate in concrete locations. In this context, it is worth to analyze not only the immigrant’s segregation levels, and it’s evolution, but trying to discover if there are trends of spatial distributions, both considering foreigners as a whole, and dividing them in groups of nationalities. To fulfil this task we have used information from the Padron de Habitantes, referred to neighbourhoods, the segregation index, and global and local spatial autocorrelation analysis.
