Educational reforms in Latin America
Abstract
In the 1990-decade, educational reforms have been made in several Latin American countries. Why have these reforms been made? There are many factors inside each country that explain those measures, alongside some external factors. In the political sense, the 90's were characterized by the consolidation of the democracy in Latin America, while in the economical field the highlight were the development of the technical scientific revolution and the globalization. These changes, especially the economical and technological ones, have generated shifts in several branches, including the educational field. Thus, this essay intends to point documents –available on-line– that guide the educational reforms in Latin America and do some comments about them.Downloads
