Abstract

The incorporation of information technology and communication, among other factors, has been reconfigured social and territorial the city, this urban change process in mediation is important for the transition to a knowledge society. The study takes the perspective of the multidimensional social system for displaying physical and social aspects that characterize one of the recognized modalities for access to internet like the commercial, as is represented in this case by cybercafes, as a set of establishments that make up the commercial connectivity network of the second city in the country. Document the process by considering the factors that have intervened to the expansion of these establishments is the contribution of this original work is, at the same time, an exercise in methodological application that opens up possibilities for understanding local processes linked to global society.
