The geography of air transport: from airport to Aerotropolis, an exploratory flight about the airports in the Internet

Thinking on airports can bring together the idea of the use of the Internet as a tool, for search for localization of airports, and to purchase tickets, or to check-in at airlines sites. The article addresses another possibility, the use of the Internet as a path for scientific research on airports. The article aims to build a framework of analysis using the Internet as a methodological resource through the research on websites, specialized magazines and centers of studies. The results show that, this consideration could be used as a basic reference, and contribute for understanding of the dynamics of air transport.Downloads
