Keywords:
economic crisis, Spain, emigration, young peopleAbstract
Since the beginning of the economic crisis in Spain (2008) there has been a significant emigration of young Spaniards and this process has attracted the attention of researchers and the media. The objective of the article is the analysis of scientific and media coverage of this trend. The collection, sorting and processing of available information has been the methodology used to add a balance to the best known and unknown issues - the lights and the shadows of this process. This reflection allows us to bring forward new approaches with regards to the migratory patterns in times of economic crisis, in order to transform doubts into certainties, and to contribute to the research on human mobility in Spain.Downloads
