In view of the expansion of electronic toll programs on highways in the state of São Paulo (Brazil), we analyze the performance of the five main companies in this sector -Sem Parar, ConectCar, Veloe and Taggy- together with the major financial agents, national and international, present in their respective shareholding structures. Having as a notion that the object of study of geography is the geographical space, synonymous with the territory used, we direct our analysis to the popularization processes of this automatic and electronic payment method. From the results, there is a dynamism in the financial sphere, at the same time that new forms of money circulation around the territory appear. The financial agents worked on in this research are interested in the evolution and massification of innovative forms of payment and the tendency is that disputes in this sector are increasingly fierce among these actors, with focus on digital banks. However, these new forms of financial circulation demand an increasingly computerized and material-dense territory.
