The praxis of educational communication, especially in the school and university register, is conditioned by academic and political institutions, which create the norms to regulate the relationships between the people who come to a classroom. But there is also a margin for the freedom of decision of individuals, both those who have the status of students and those of teachers. Explaining these interactions in the field of school geography has been the goal of institutions and individuals, associated or not, in the International Geographical Union. In this context, in the eighties of the 20th century, we have started a curricular project that, over the years and decades, has been transformed into a research program to understand school praxis, from the coherence between what is said and what is said. does. For this analysis, the complementarity of the geography of perception and the theory of social representations has been very useful.
