This article is the result of a recent investigation into the expansion, in Brazilian territory, of virtual structures of accumulation produced by companies that use peer-to-peer distributed public accounting (P2P) financial technologies, also called fintechs. The preparation of this article required the execution of the following objectives: a) analyze how competition and dispute for new markets and financial services influence the territorial expansion of fintechs; b) explain how the service provision areas of these companies are distributed; c) analyze how and where the growth of companies that consume blockchain technologies occurs; and, d) investigate how the processes of competition, distribution, expansion and growth are altering and restructuring the supply and demand of financial services in Brazil. For the methodological development of this research, three procedures were adopted: 1st. Carry out a bibliographic survey within the scope of geography on the changes produced in socio-spatial relations using blockchain technology in economic activities; 2nd. Consult several databases on companies that are customers of blockchain technology in Brazil; 3rd. Analyze how publishing websites, which are directly or indirectly linked to large financial-business groups, evaluate the performance of traditional banks and new fintechs, users of blockchain technology. Therefore, it is expected that this research will contribute to offering a comprehensive vision of the emergence and expansion of new financial services implemented by fintechs in Brazil.
