1. The "de-growth" movement: An alternative to systemic crisis? First steps in France and Spain
Keywords:
De-growth, oil, movement, consumption, work.Abstract
The aim of this article is to test the hypothesis that the theoretical framework defended by the de-growth movement is the only viable alternative in front of the two main economic theories that have been applied so far in order to face the crisis. Arguments and proposals offered by the de-growth perspectives in the bibliography will be analyzed, as well as the analysis made by their main critics. This article focuses on two States that, in spite of being very close, have experienced a very different level of penetration of the de-growth movement in their societies.
