3. Mobilization in Catalan society: emergence and survival
Keywords:
secessionist movement, CataloniaAbstract
This article is the result of a research with the starting point based on the decisive factors that caused and sustained the secessionist social movement that, still nowadays, is going on in Catalonia. The secessionist movement was analysed in this work from the perspective of a social movement, rather than a political process orchestrated by some of the political parties representing the Catalan citizenship. The analysis shows how the characteristics of some of the factors that set off the social movement and the factors that encourage it prevented the social actors supporting it from giving up on their final goal.
