Keywords:

People mobility through borders constitutes one of the most significant phenomena in contemporary world. Current migrations take place within an ambiguity of profits and threats that can be thought from a sociology of risk perspective. This article contextualizes the notion of risk and its relationship with migrations. Afterwards, several state strategies aimed to immigrants’ integration as a way to mitigate their social risks are developed. Finally, the convergence between those integration models is analysed, outlining the challenges posed by new transnational ways of conceiving migration.
