Keywords:

The analysis of the processes of conformation and/or elements of empowerment of the neighborhood networks of daily life is a fundamental part of the "relational perspective" focused on the potential of the social capital of the neighborhoods as a basis for the design of urban spaces that favor social cohesion. This article summarizes the main problems related to this perspective, it presents the methodology developed for the relational analysis of the neighborhoods studied in the Social Risk Map of Zaragoza, and analyzes the results obtained comparing the neighborhoods identified as vulnerable and not vulnerable by the Ministry of Development, concluding that there is no linear relationship between social capital, social heterogeneity and urban vulnerability.
