Abstract

The following paper seeks showing how the use of new sources in the so-called contemporary popular culture, i.e. cinema or television, strongly influences in the global imagination when it comes to stereotypes and anachronisms of historical figures that become imprinted strongly in the retina of the spectators fleeing often from reality, and how they can be used politically or socially for commercial or power mechanisms. There cannot be forgotten that Caesar was one of the more charismatic leaderships of the Classic Roman Period, and that during his mandate and after his assassination on behalf of the Republic, the most powerful empire of the known world of that time suffered a total change in its form of government in influencing the course of history.
