Abstract

This article tries to detect the plot elements that reflect the context of the Cold War in the early 1960s and the emergence of a new focus of international tension centered in the Caribbean area appeared in the first film of the British film spy film James Bond: Dr. No (1962). The film, which camouflages the geostrategic transcendence represented by the triumph of the Cuban Revolution with the use of a fictional island of literary invention, seems to advocate the crisis of the Cuban missiles that took place the same month of its premiere.
