Abstract

The Beatles and India (2021) is a new documentary, directed by Joy Bose, released in Spanish cinemas in March 2022 and which will be released in Spain on Blu-ray and DVD this August. It shows us the connection between the group and India, especially George Harrison. The Beatles had conquered the world, they had everything they wanted, but at that point in their lives (1966) they found themselves empty, needed to grow as individuals, and went in search of a spirituality they could not find in the Western world. Their stay in Rishikesh was one of the most prolific periods at the creative level and it was the last time they all lived together 24 hours a day. Although their stay there ended abruptly, all four positively remembered the teaching they received from the Maharishi and the time they were there.
