REENCUENTROS CON TINTES DRAMÁTICOS TRAS LA GRAN RECESIÓN. LES DISTÀNCIES (2018) DE ELENA TRAPERO

Abstract

Beyond the essential historical events of these first decades of the 21st century, issues such as the impact produced by social and technological changes, precariousness and forced mobility after the 2008 Great Recession -or even the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic- can be traced in human network groups that emerged from friendship.

Starting from the representations of these networks in the fictions in the latest Spanish cinema, the case of the film Les distàncies (2018) by Elena Trapé will be analyzed mainly, as it shows a certain pessimism in the face of the socioeconomic context that has especially affected the generation of those more than prepared born after 1985.
