Abstract

A Plague Tale consists of two video games set in medieval France in the 14th century, in which we follow the path of the brothers Amicia and Hugo, who have to escape a mysterious and deadly plague of rats, while they are pursued by the inquisition and an ancient sect. This article aimed to analyze how the medieval imagery of the Black Death was reinterpreted by neomedievalism to be presented in the language of video games.
