The following pages present a teaching guide to address in Baccalaureate classrooms one of the few films that deals with the penetration of the Enlightenment in Spain and the most significant social conflict that marked the future of the reign of Charles III: Esquilache (1989). This article tries to present all its ins and outs and interrelates with the context in which it took place: the second centenary of the death of Charles III and the consolidation of democracy in our country. This guide includes the set of activities that can be carried out from the history and history of art, in accordance with the guidelines of the recent Organic Law 3/2020, of December 29, which modifies Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, of Education (LOMLOE).
