Social representations of Central American Migrants in Mexico. A community study.

Since 2016, migrants decided to settle in the community Valle de Ecatepec, State of Mexico. This phenomenon has occurred in various communities in Mexico. This article aims to analyze the social representations of the inhabitants of the Valle de Ecatepec colony about Central American migrants. It is composed of four sections: introduction; conceptual framework on social representations by Moscovici (1979); methodological framework used during the COVID-19, with a qualitative approach that describes the use and analytical procedure of the questionnaire and interview; in addition, the results that denoted discriminatory biases such as apathy and exclusion are presented.
