(3) Naturalezas artificiales. El lenguaje de las flores y de las cosas mudas
Abstract
This article originates from the relation between images and poetry. It explores painted histories, symbolic visions and the construction of artificial natures through the nineteenth century. Its title, Artificial natures, wants to suggest Baudelaire’s ideas about correspondances in a forest of symbols. The main goal is to analyze a system of symbols, in a context where the nature was a refuge from positivism and the industrial landscape. We want to look at singularities: the nature of the symbol, the symbol of the nature. A particular view of the symbolism of flowers, the language of silent things.Downloads
