Tomando la decisión correcta: el rey Salomón y Ramón Verenguer IV
Abstract
The representation of the Judgment of Solomon in the Barberà church strengthens, with its iconographical type, this Judgment as a representation of the tone faith and Solomon's interpretation as a Christian monarch pattern in his roles of king, judge and Church's defender. This message is corroborated by the scenes' typological layout. Ornamentation shows a unified message, theological, liturgical and political at once, which reflects a national theme of the Crusades and the Reconquest times.Downloads
