Abstract
This paper explores hagiography and iconography to determine the identity of the figure represented in the altar frontal from Durro (currently on display in the MNAC, Barcelona) and the real story of Saint Quiricus and Saint Julitta, analysing the growth in worship of these martyrs during the Middle Ages and the works of art dedicated to them until the Romanesque period.Downloads
