Abstract

This article highlights a series of substantial changes that, over the recent decades, have affected some of the most innovative audiovisual experiences. The article points out some particular sorts of behaviors, skills and communicative dialogue that contemporary society keeps with those technical-expressive proposals related to some of the new formats that have emerged over the rapid transit experienced at a technological level, but also at a sensory, aesthetic and receptive level; from the analogical to the digital domain, through the video field.
The article tackles, especially, the features and protocols that define and modulate both the access as well as the routines of the audiovisual consumption among individuals shaped as users of a media environment that builds us and at the same time tries to adapt itself to the conditions, circumstances and cultural practices in which we are immersed.
